Medical Group IPR

The Medical Group of the Institute for Process Control and Robotics is doing research on various medical areas. Several Projects are part of the German Research Grant SFB414 "Information Technology in Medicine - Computer and Sensor Based Surgery" funded by the German Research Association (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft). Topics are image processing (like matching, fusion, deformation and segmentation of medical images), operation planning (trajectories and other geometrical objects, cutting of surfaces, workflow management), medical robotics and intraoperative visualization.
